In the recent years of the pandemic Port Heiden has been impacted. The Native Village of Port Heiden has been providing the population of Port Heiden with multiple types of assistance including money for heating oil and electric, medicine, and food. At home testing kits are now available for the population of Port Heiden.
Domes can be seen near the Meshik Farm Barn that were constructed with the intent of housing sick patients who can not be flown out. They will be equipped with hospital beds, ventilators, and other necessities to help treat people battling the virus. If you think that you have been infected or exposed to COVID19 please get tested at the clinic or with an at home test provided by NVPH. Social distance until test results are available. If you need help with anything in the event of quarantine call the office and help can be arranged.
