Hiking in Aniakchak National Park

Throughout the years we have had multiple people fly into Port Heiden to start their trek through the beautiful Aniakchak National Park. On this scenic route, most start from the base of the plateau and hike through the park and ending their adventure on the Pacific side of the volcano. We appreciate all who come through but urge everyone who plans to make the trip to be as prepared as possible. If you are unsure of what is needed, there is a gear list provided below.

Safety is the key to survival

We hope you have sunny days and easy hiking for your trip, but that is not always the case! Make sure you have all the necessary equipment and a good plan before you go. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
